This edition introduces Karthrag, Vanquish's favorite immutable Khajiit! He is always a friendly, interesting and funny guy to chat with.
This one's main personality is Karthrag Inak, a white tiger Khajiit stamblade.
This one in his home. Haithar!
He has 18 personalities, this one does, and 17 are white tiger Khajiit of various classes and roles, with one lonely Argonian who has fuzzy aspirations. This one logs into all his alts at least 3 or 4 times a week at least for crafting dailies (they are all master 7 prof crafters).
Dralok Inor - Father - DK Tank
Noori Akri - Mother - Warden Tank
Tsar'Li Inak - Son - stabbie Sorc
Chun Li Inak - Daughter - zappie Warden
Links to his remarkable extended family. (They are all fairly camera shy, yes?) This one has stories for each, but sharing such things would be frivolous, yes? Perhaps it would make this one appear to be full of hubris, which he would rather not convey. He is not Altmer, yes :)?
Q'oor'ragh Inak, Sister, stabbie Necromancer
Garh'Trak Inak, Brother, NB Healer
Sah'Lorah Akri, Aunt, zappie Templar
Splaty'yyrr, Aunt, Sorc with many pets
Ti'eralle Inor, Aunt, zappie DK
Kurdah Akri, Uncle, stabbie Templar
Morlok Inor, Uncle, stabbie DK
Xar'ragh Zo, Uncle, zappie Necro
Cordon Zo, Cousin, zappie NB
Estara Zo, Cousin, Sorc Tank
Kall Reektoo, Cousin, stabbie Warden
Orr'lan Reektoo, Cousin and Kall's brother, Necro Tank
Is there anything specific about your favorite character that you particularly enjoy?
This one has played a white tiger Khajiit in all his gaming, literally since before there were Khajiit, or Elder Scrolls for that matter. Here he is at DragonCon in 1993 attempting to make a point.
This one makes a point at DragonCon '93. He is now much too old to engage in such shenanigans, (he cannot fit in his old armor, for one thing) and so restricts his catting around to computer games :)
Does your @ name and/or character names have any special meaning? Why did you choose them?
It is this one's name -shrug-. He has been called by it for as long as he can remember. All of the facets to his personality belong to his extended in-game family and so have always had the same names, through many games.
We all know fashion is the true endgame, so please tell us a little about the outfit your character is wearing.
All of this one's Khajiit characters were a the same outfit, only differing in colors :
Heavy Dro-m'Athra Chest and Pants,
Hlaalu shoulders (which look like onions and so are dubbed "onion shoulders")
Heavy Anequina Gauntlets and Sabatons
Tsaeci Helm, which is nearly always kept hidden.
His poor Argonian lacks a clear sense of style and so resorts to wearing elf armor. -blorch-.
Driven-By-Remorse, Butler who cleans many messes (his nickname, in fact) Templar Healer
What are your normal hours of play and what content do you enjoy most in ESO and with Vanquish?
Early morning (before 6 am) and some evenings Eastern U.S time. With this one's new job, he has not had as much time to play as he used to. This one enjoys nearly all content, except zone chat pvp amongst.
This one fashions himself an amateur linguist, and enjoys learning the various languages of Tamriel, and of course, being the gregarious Khajiit that he is, he loves to share. He will demonstrate, yes?
Argonian : "This one erects the floofy tail/perky ears/well groomed whiskers of 'Haithar!' ". Which body part is erected gives the greeting appropriate nuance. This one does not speak of erected spines, yes?
Nord : (particularly useful for upcoming trip to Greymoons) : "snergi fleurgi snargin flargin -burp- mead 'Haithar!'". This one speaks with an accent, unfortunately, and is lacking the appropriate nuance of Nord, however, which can only be provided when the speaker's palate is coated in a fine layer of mead vomit. This one is satisfied with his accent as it is.
Altmer : "With uncharacteristic, and obviously undeserved, humility, this one bids you 'Haithar'". With every word, snooty "high" elves express hubris. It often crimps this one's tail, but when performed with the appropriate sense of humor and inflection, Altmer language can be quite amusing, especially noting the reactions of the Altmer listening. They are so fragile and easily frustrated, yes?
What is it that drew you to ESO and what about the game do you enjoy the most?
This one plays ESO for the same reason that this one has ever played Elder Scrolls games, since he got Arena when it was released - to play his Karthrag Inak personality in a game. He enjoys nearly all aspects of the game, but most enjoys expressing his inner Khajiit in his dealings with others, and seems to be generally tolerated by most for his strict adherence to proper grammar.
Tell us a bit about your past MMO experience including who and what was your favorite character ever.
This one was a launch day (July, 2003) Wookiee in Star Wars Galaxies, and unlocked a pre-cu jedi. He stayed with the game until it closed in 2011, and still misses the Wookiee aspects of his personality. They were basically taller, uglier and smellier versions of his present characters, sadly lacking in the tail department, but otherwise the same.
When did you join Vanquish and why did you choose Vanquish, what drew you to the guild?
This one joined the great Vanquish some months ago, perhaps around Thanksgiving? He was terribly sick then, for like a month, and so much of that time is a blur. He joined because some friends of his (@Willowman and @destrolly) were in the guild and painted it in a good light that proved to be well-deserved.
What has been your most memorable moment in Vanquish so far?
Giving himself Peeps with his peeps on Friday Night Fights. This one rarely pvps because he has a hard time finding folks of good character to do so with, but the few times he went with Vanquish, it was delightfully enjoyable.
Do you enjoy housing in ESO? If so, please tell us a little about your favorite house.
Yes, this one enjoys housing, although primarily for building epic things and going overboard (a common issue with this one's personality, perhaps he attempts to compensate for something, he is not quite sure).
His primary residence is Pariah's Pinnacle. He built a huge floating island to the left of the entrance upon which he has every crafting set in game, an achievement that he is particularly proud of since, with the exception of a single set's worth of stations, he accomplished this feat entirely on his own. He also has a transmute station, and 6 or 7 Precursor target dummies on his floating island.
Welcome to this one's home.
Entrance to Pariahs
Island Of Stations 1
Island Of Stations 2
At the lower level of his home he has 10 more Precursor target dummies set up as pins in his very own Precursor Bowling Alley. He is hoping to set up a bowling league once he firms up some reasonable rules of play. Perhaps some of his guildmates would enjoy such activities?
Precursor Bowling Alley! All are welcome to come visit his home and swipe at his Precursor dummies. They complain and sound like Mr. Peabody. It is delightful
Do you enjoy the crafting in ESO? what crafts have you spent the most time on?
Yes, this one does daily craftings on most, if not all, of his 18 characters. They are all 7 prof master crafters, and his main is Grand Master crafter with all traits, and all motifs currently available complete except for a few pieces of New Moon Priest. This one loves doing sealed writs, especially now that he has all the crafting sets in the game in his home - he is quite the homebody, at heart. He would gladly make any gear for any who need, as well, so feel free to ask.
If you had to choose one weapon what would it be? A sword, a bow, a staff, a rabid raccoon tied to a stick, or something...more creative?
This one, being feline in nature, favors weapons that are not used like tools, with uncomfortable wrist-wriggling, but rather weapons that extend his own natural weaponry, such as claw-weapons. Also very loud horn, to prime opponents for stabbies.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
In his real and somewhat mundane, but still very blessed and wonderful, life, this one has 3 children and wife, and currently works at Facebook AI Research as a contract Research Scientist on embodied intelligence simulation environments.
His personal web page has much of his non-gaming interests displayed, which mainly amounts to programming physically based graphical simulations for funzies and profits too.
Finish this sentence: "You round the corner passing by the Officers barracks and come upon a heavy wooden door, the sign posted above reads “Savina, Guild Leader of Vanquish”, upon opening the door you are surprised to find..."
That this is not the doorway to the -ahem- sand box. Most embarrassing, yes?
