Chronological Order of DLC

After completing the Main Storyline and Cadwell's Silver and Gold quests, it can be quite confusing on where to start for the DLC's. We hope this guide will serve you well. Due to the length, we added in some links, in order of appearance, for quick navigation:

Craglorn, Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Shadows of the Hist, Morrowind, Horns of the Reach, The Clockwork City, Dragon Bones, Summerset, Wolfhunter, Murkmire, Wrathstone, Elsweyr, Scalebreaker, Dragonhold, Harrowstorm, Greymoor, Stonethorn, Markarth, Gates of Oblivion, Flames of Ambition, Blackwood

 

 

Originally designed as a Veteran-only 4-player Adventure Zone, Craglorn was overhauled in the One Tamriel update and is now a hybrid zone containing both solo and group content, open to players of any level. Areas involved with the zone's main storyline can all be tackled solo, as can the majority of the overworld. "Group Areas" are denoted with a plus sign on the world map and are aimed at groups of 2 to 4. Craglorn also contains several 12-player trials, as well as the 4-player Dragonstar Arena. When going through the story line and you are at a group icon, ask in Vanquish for guildmates to help you along.

To start the Craglorn quest line, you can enter the zone via the gate in Bangkorai or you can travel via cart from the Alliance capital cities.

• Aldmeri Dominion - Large Elden Root in Grahtwood

• Ebonheart Pact - Large Mournhold in Deshaan

 

Talk to Star-Gazer Herald and accept:

THE STAR-GAZERS (Top)

 

 

Imperial City: Daedric forces have taken the Imperial City, and all three alliances vie to take it back. Experience hours of PvP and PvE gameplay, both above ground and below.

The Imperial City is divided between the Imperial Sewers and the six Imperial Districts. Each Alliance has a small base in the sewers which provides quick access to the districts, but getting back to base from the districts requires traversing the sewers. Gameplay within the sewers is similar to a large Public Dungeon with PvP, while the districts function as Quest Hubs.

The story in Imperial City is spectacular and is approximately four hours long. As noted above, this is a PVP area. Vanquish does run events to do the storyline periodically (check our events calendar or ask an officer when the next event is coming up) if you'd rather not traverse this alone. Since the story in Imperial City does not conflict with the other stories, you may skip this for now if you so choose.

Open the Alliance War screen by clicking "L" by default.

Choose any campaign under Cyrodiil; Alliance Locked, Standard, No-CP Standard, and Below 50.

 

Daggerfall Covenant - Talk to Captain Durida at the Southern High Rock Gate or Captain Alesace at the Northern High Rock Gate.

Aldmeri Dominion - Talk to Captain Mulamurr at the Eastern Gate or Captain Sireril at the Western Elsweyr Gate.

Ebonheart Pact - Talk to Captain Rythe at the Northern Morrowind Gate or Captain Veranim at the Southern Morrowind Gate.

 

Once again, hit "L" to bring up your war campaign menu. Under "Imperial City", queue for a campaign of your choosing, either NON-CP or CP, and enter your alliance's home gates. Daggerfall is located in the Lambent Passage, Aldmeri is located at the Irrigation Tunnels, and Ebonheart is located at Harena Hypogeum.

And accept:

Orsinium: Come to the homeland of the Orcs in Tamriel Unlimited's first new PvE quest content DLC! Help King Kurog rebuild the city of Orsinium, and watch its walls and towers rise due to your deeds. Orsinium is the largest city in Wrothgar, and the home of King Kurog. Completing quests and objectives in Wrothgar will contribute to rebuilding the city, returning it to its former glory.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Daggerfall in Glenumbra

Aldmeri Dominion - Vulkhel Guard in Auridon

Ebonheart Pact - Davon's Watch in Stonefalls

 

Talk to Stuga, an Orc courier, tasked with inviting adventurers to Orsinium. You may have heard, many times over, "Do you know how long I've been looking for you?" Accept:

INVITATION TO ORSINIUM (Top)

 

 

Thieves Guild: Join the Thieves Guild in Hew's Bane, a never-before-seen area of Hammerfell! Explore Abah's Landing, a decadent port town ruled by corrupt merchant lords, who struggle with the Thieves Guild for power.

Enter any Outlaw Refuge located on your map by the icon .

Talk to Quen, an Altmer, and accept:

PARTNERS IN CRIME (Top)

 

 

Dark Brotherhood: Your talent for homicide has been noticed and an invitation has arrived—to join the Dark Brotherhood! Come to the Gold Coast, westernmost region of the old Empire, where opportunities abound for intrigue, conspiracy … and murder!

Enter any Outlaw Refuge located on your map by the icon .

Talk to Amelie Crowe, a Breton, and accept:

VOICES IN THE DARK (Top)

 

 

SHADOWS OF THE HIST is a dungeon pack DLC which introduces two Argonian-themed group dungeons.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Talk to Heem-Jas and accept:

Your second dungeon is:

Up next is the first expansion chapter

Morrowind: Morrowind is on the verge of destruction and only you can save it from a deadly Daedric threat. Discover the secrets of the island of Vvardenfell, and help the Dark Elves stop a meteor from crashing into Vivec City. Morrowind was the first new Chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online. It is an expansion set on the island of Vvardenfell. Morrowind includes a large new zone, the Warden class, a trial, and a new storyline centered around saving Vvardenfell from Baar Dau's descent.

 

To start the prologue, you have two options that both lead to the same starting quest:

• Travel to Large Wayrest, enter the Cloudy Dregs Inn (in the Residential District, near the north gate), talk to Rhea Opacarius and accept:

THE MISSING PROPHECY - This will start the prologue quest.

 

Once you arrive at Seyda Neen

Talk to Alavesa Arethan (she is at the crossroads just outside town) and accept:

DIVINE CONUNDRUM (Top)

 

 

Horns of the Reach is a dungeon pack DLC which introduces two Nord-themed group dungeons.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Bloodroot Forge

Talk to Filand and accept:

Clockwork City: Enter the mechanical world of the Clockwork City and explore Sotha Sil's greatest creation. Clockwork City is a mechanical realm created by Sotha Sil, one of the living gods of Morrowind. It supposedly exists "outside space and time", represented in Tamriel as a miniature realm within a globe about the size of a large crate, requiring an individual to be magically shrunk to enter. The globe is located in a vault in the Dwemer ruin of Bamz-Amschend, deep beneath the Tribunal Temple in Mournhold

 

To start the prologue quest, enter any Mages Guildhall and interact with a note that reads Order of the Eye Dispatch and accept:

OF KNIVES AND LONG SHADOWS - This will start the prologue quest

 

Once finished travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Wayrest in Stormhaven - enter the Treasury

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Elden Root in Grahtwood - enter the Treasury of the Tree

Ebonheart Pact - Large Mournhold in Deshaan - enter the City Center

 

Talk to Eldrasea Deras and accept:

TO THE CLOCKWORK CITY (Top)

 

 

Dragon Bones: Cultists conspire to unleash a plague, while necromancers attempt to reawaken a Bone Dragon. Put an end to these threats in the all-new Fang Lair and Scalecaller Peak Dungeons.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Fang Lair

Talk to Yisareh and accept:

CASTING THE BONES

 

Your second dungeon is:

Scalecaller Peak

PLANS OF THE PESTILENCE (Top)

 

Up next is the second expansion chapter

Summerset: By royal decree, the once-forbidden island of the High Elves has been opened, its Crystal Tower drawing travelers to its light. But dark forces from beyond and below are also interested in the mystic location in this new adventure set in Summerset Isle. Summerset was the second Chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online. It is an expansion set on the main island of Summerset Isles and Artaeum. The expansion includes an all-new zone packed with adventure, the ability to join the Psijic Order, a new crafting Skill Line related to jewelry, a new Trial, and a new storyline.

 

With Summerset you will have two story lines to follow. One is the main story line starting with THE QUEEN'S DECREE and the other will take you through the Psijic Order, THE PSIJICS' CALLING. We will start you off on both but it entirely up to you which of the two you want to complete first. The main story line keeps you in Summerset while the Psijic Storyline will have you travel all over Tamriel. If you have followed the guide up to this point, you should have all your Large Wayshrines open for easier navigation. Personally, I would choose the main story line.

 

To start, travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls

 

Enter the Mages Guildhall, talk to Vanus Galerion and accept:

THROUGH A VEIL DARKLY - This will start the prologue quest

 

Once finished travel to:

Large Shimmerene Wayshrine in Summerset

 

Talk to Razum-Dar who is outside Shimmerene and accept:

THE QUEEN'S DECREE

 

Once you have finished THE QUEEN'S DECREE you have unlocked the option to start the Psijic's Questline. Travel to:

Large Artaeum Wayshrine in Artaeum

 

Enter the Ceporah Tower, talk to Loremaster Celarus and accept:

THE PSIJIC'S CALLING - This will start the Psijic Order questline. (Top)

 

 

Wolfhunter: Dive into all-new stories themed around Tamriel's werewolves and the Daedric Prince Hircine. Two dungeons, two very different environments filled with hordes of monsters, tricky boss encounters, and unique rewards for heroes who accept the challenge. Wolfhunter is a dungeon pack DLC which includes two group dungeons related to werewolves and Hircine.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Moonhunter Keep

Talk to Adonatus Varian and accept:

MOONLIGHT ASCENT

 

Your second dungeon is:

March of Sacrifices

Talk to Hanu and accept:

THE GREAT HUNT (Top)

 

 

Murkmire: Travel to Murkmire, the southernmost region of mysterious Black Marsh, and venture into the deep swamps to learn some of the most hidden secrets of the Argonians! Murkmire features the new zone of Murkmire, and invites you to partake in an epic relic hunt.

There are two ways to start the prologue quest for Murkmire. The RUTHLESS COMPETITION and THE CURSED SKULL both came out ahead of the Murkmire DLC. Choice is completely up to you but both are outlined below.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra - usually found near wayshrine

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon - usually found near wayshrine

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls - usually found near wayshrine

 

Talk to Concordia Mercius and accept:

RUTHLESS COMPETITION - This will start the first option for the Prologue Quest

 

OR head to Large Stormhold Wayshrine at Northern Shadowfen. You can find Concordia Mercius at her camp directly north of the wayshrine, near Tarvynil's House.

THE CURSED SKULL - This will start the second option for the Prologue Quest

 

Once finished travel to:

Large Lilmoth Wayshrine in Murkmire

Talk to Famia Mercius and accept:

SUNKEN TREASURE (Top)

 

Up next is the 'Season of the Dragon' chapter

 

Wrathstone: Uncover Tamriel's buried secrets and and begin the Season of the Dragon in Wrathstone. Wrathstone is a dungeon pack DLC containing two new group dungeons, inviting you to explore Tamriel's hidden past alongside with Redguard scholar Tharayya and recover two halves of the mysterious Wrathstone.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Frostvault

Talk to Tharayya and accept:

LOCK AND KEYSTONE

 

Your second dungeon is:

Depths of Malatar

Talk to Tharayya and accept:

THE GUIDING LIGHT (Top)

 

Elsweyr: Venture to the land of the Khajiit in Elsweyr. Face dread creatures from the past—Dragons!—as you join with new friends and old enemies to save Elsweyr from war and devastation. The Elsweyr DLC contains the Northern Elsweyr zone.

The prologue quest for Elsweyr is in two parts; THE DEMON WEAPON which leads to THE HALLS OF COLOSSUS.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls

 

Talk to Anais Davaus, a Breton Messenger working on the behalf of Abnur Tharn, who is located just outside the main city gates, and accept:

THE DEMON WEAPON - This is the first part of the prologue quest.

Complete the first part and then speak to Abnur Tharn and accept:

THE HALLS OF COLOSSUS.

 

Once the above is completed, Abnur Tharn has a message for you. He wants you to meet him in the Khajiit city of Riverhold, in Northern Elsweyr, to discuss the Dragon problem. You can find him at K'har Zhab Hall, which lies near the southern entrance of the settlement, just past the stables.

Speak to Abnur Tharn and accept:

A RAGE OF DRAGONS (Top)

 

 

Scalebreaker: The Season of the Dragon continues with two Dragon-themed dungeons: Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok. Delve into these deadly new four-player dungeons and encounter challenging boss fights and amazing stories that expand upon the year-long adventure!

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Moongrave Fane

Talk to Chevalier Renald and accept:

THE SANGUINE SUCCESSOR

 

Your second dungeon is:

Dragonhold: The Season of the Dragon saga concludes with Dragonhold. Defend the people of Southern Elsweyr, restore the ancient Dragonguard order, and fight back against the Dragon menace.

The prologue quest for Dragonhold is a two part quest that will start with THE DRAGONGUARD'S LEGACY and lead to THE HORN OF JA'DARRI.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra - outside the Southern Gate across from the Bazgara's Horses

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon - at the Docks near the Prowler

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls - outside the Southeast Gate near the fountain across form Davon's Fine Steeds

 

Talk to Hinzuur and accept:

THE DRAGONGUARD'S LEGACY - This will start the first part of the prologue quest

 

Once complete, Sai Sahan will return to the Abbey of Blades. Speak to him and accept:

THE HORN OF JA'DARRI

 

With the prologue quest complete, travel to:

Large Senchal in Southern Elsweyr

Talk to Danouida on the road, south of Senchal and accept:

THE DRAGON'S LAIR (Top)

 

Up next is the 'Dark Heart of Skyrim' chapter

 

Harrowstorm: Begin your Dark Heart of Skyrim adventure with two exciting new Dungeons: Icereach and Unhallowed Grave. Venture to a storm-cursed island and unholy burial ground, battle cunning witches and vile necromancers.

Greymoor is the fourth Chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online. Supernatural harrowstorms plague Western Skyrim, and dark beasts, led by a powerful Vampire Lord, devour souls to further their mysterious plans. In The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor, ESO's newest Chapter, you must defend the besieged Nords and uncover the evil behind this monstrous resurgence.

The prologue quest for Greymoor is in two parts starting with THE COVEN CONSPIRACY and then moving forward with THE COVEN CONUNDRUM.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra - at the Southern Docks

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon - on the beach at the Docks

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls - east of the Gladiator's Quarters

 

You are looking for a Nord female, Scout Gunthe. Speak to her and accept:

THE COVEN CONSIPRACY - This will start the first part of the prologue

 

Once finished, talk to Lyris Titanborn and accept:

THE COVEN CONUNDRUM

 

When you have completed the prologue quest, travel to:

Large Solitude Docks Wayshrine in Western Skyrim

Off the northern path, you will find an injured Nord, Brondold. Talk to him and accept:

THE GATHERING STORM (Top)

 

 

Stonethorn is a dungeon pack DLC containing two new group dungeons, Stone Garden and Castle Thorn. It is the third part of the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

Castle Thorn

Talk to Gwendis and accept:

BLOOD OF THE PAST

 

Your second dungeon is:

Stone Garden

Talk to Gwendis and accept:

METHOD AND MADNESS (Top)

 

 

Markarth contains the area of Skyrim known as the Reach with an all-new zone, a compelling storyline that ties into the Dark Heart of Skyrim year-long adventure, and introduces a new solo arena.

The prologue quest for Markarth is a two part questline starting with THE RAVENWATCH INQUIRY and finishing with THE GRAY COUNCIL.

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra - outside the Eastern Gate south of the bridge

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Vulkel Guard in Auridon - near the Harborage

Ebonheart Pact - Large Davon's Watch in Stonefalls - southwest of the Event Exchange

 

Find Gwendis at her camp and accept:

THE RAVENWATCH INQUIRY - This will start the first part of the prologue.

 

Once finished, speak to Gwendis again and accept:

THE GRAY COUNCIL

 

When you have the prologue quest complete, travel to:

Large North Markarth in The Reach

Talk to Count Verandis Ravenwatch and accept:

THE DESPOT OF MARKARTH (Top)

 

 

Gates of Oblivion is the fifth Chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online. It takes place in the southern region of Blackwood, between the Cyrodilic city of Leyawiin and the Black Marsh city of Gideon. Mehrunes Dagon threatens all of Tamreil with his four Ambitions, weapons of great power once granted to the fallen Longhouse Emperors.

The prologue quest for Gates of Oblivion is in two parts starting with A MORTAL'S TOUCH and then moving forward with THE EMPEROR'S SECRET..

Travel to:

Daggerfall Covenant - Large Daggerfall in Glenumbra - near Jester's Festival Stage at the east exit of city

Aldmeri Dominion - Large Elden Root in Grahtwood - at the south-east exit of town, over the bridge past the Mastercraft Exchange

Ebonheart Pact - Large Mournhold in Deshaan - south of the Undaunted Enclave at the crossroad

 

You are looking for an Imperial cultitst male, Rogatus Cinna. When you approach him, he seems to recognize you by sight; "Yes, yes, my vision-dream speaks true! You are the one my mistress seeks!" Speak to him, read the "Dread Lady's Letter" and accept:

A MORTAL'S TOUCH - This will start the first part of the prologue

 

Once finished, it will lead you to the Mages Guild in Riften where you rendezous with Eveli Sharp-Arrow. This will start:

THE EMPEROR'S SECRET (Top)

 

 

Flames of Ambition is a dungeon pack DLC containing two new group dungeons, the Cauldron and Black Drake Villa. It is the first part of the Gates of Oblivion year-long adventure.

Ask in Vanquish for a group to Story Mode the dungeons. Open the Group & Activity Finder screen ('P' by default).

Select Specific Dungeons and queue for:

The Cauldron

Talk to Lyranth and accept:

INTO THE DEEP
